I've travelled more than ever this past year, visiting many new places. Finally getting the time to do a proper studio mix in between international journeys propelling me to the west coast, europe and south america, the set offered here is comprised mainly of the records that came with me, stored in countless overhead carry-on bins. Especially throughout my tour in Brazil, these tracks became my religion, my way of life. Almost every night they awoke, poking their insignificant heads out for a brief breath of air. So it felt only right to focus on these tracks for my latest studio mix, as they have branded an indelible fixture on my psyche through my travels. They represent the absolute best from the past year. To be honest, it's getting quite difficult to find the right techno. Consider these to be little darlings of interest, drowning, frowning and hidden beneath an oppressive wall of blandness. This time I took advantage of the studio, messing around with samples, synths, effects and loops during pitch adjustments. And if you make it to the end, you might notice a rusty, copper spike sticking out of that little bone in the back of your neck. It's a trick; get an axe.
